National Instruments LunchALVIN (Albuquerque LabVIEW Interest Network) monthly luncheon. We presented an overview of the robotics programs available through FIRST and how we use LabVIEW in FTC to a group of 80 LabVIEW users. Professional engineers, physicists, and programmers from Albuquerque and Los Alamos, New Mexico. This was Aaron's first time to present before a large group, and he was awesome! | National Instruments LunchShowing a printout of the LabVIEW autonomy Haley wrote that enabled HAL ii to locate the IR Beaon pole, and place a ring on the 2nd row peg of that column! |

Albuquerque Sign Language AcademyWe spent the afternoon with a class of 2nd through 4th graders as part of their 'Study of Electricity' unit. We taught them about the 'electricity' of batteries. We deconstructed electric toothbrushes and reassembled them into fanciful 'robots' that moved eccentrically when the 'circuit was closed'. They decorated them with feathers, beads and googly eyes! A good time was had by all. | Albuquerque Sign Language AcademyJack showing the kids the sample brush bot. |

We have over 30 community based outreach events in just the past year !
We continue to add more, at the rate of 2-4 per month. This is a continuation of the commitment we have shown to FIRST in our state over that past 7 years.
Even though our competion season has ended, we continue to showcase FTC and offer post-season events to the local teams as we grow the FTC program in New Mexico.
